01-17-03 - Amber is home from the hospital! She had a few bumps in the road but is doing much better now. Still sore, and the gas is causing some pain in her chest. Each day gets a little better. She's sleeping ok and using the bathroom frequenly which I think is a good sign. She will update her profile to fill you all in whenever she is feeling up to it. Thanks to all who sent well-wishes, she appreciates it as do I.

Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).
