AUG 5,2003--I am 38 yrs old soon to be 39. I have two children one is 19 and one is 9. My husband is a great guy who supports anything I want to do. I have been overweight since birth, I was 200 lbs, as a freshman in HS. By my senior year I had lost down to 130 lbs., thanks to bulimia. I stayed bulimic for until my early twenties, when counseling kicked in and straightened me up. I have decided that I want a laproscopic RNY. I will be going to St Alexius Hosp. in St. Louis MO, and my physician will hopefully be Dr. J Scott Stevens. I have already gotten my letter from my "regular" doctor, my thyroid test, and my letter from my psychiatrist. I have sent everything in as of last Wed. July 29th, only to find out they haven't got it yet!!!! I live about 3 hrs from St. Louis, I could have driven it there faster. I still have to go through the head nurses appproval, and then the doctors approval before they even send it to the insurance. Wish me luck!!
