"I had back surgery (L5/S1 removed) and the nurses were horrible. My doctor had authorized pain medication and other treatment and the nurses kept telling me no, that it wasn't authorized. I saw my doctor write the orders and tell the nurse. So, I picked up the phone called my doctor and within 5 minutes I had my pain medication. The four days I had to stay in the hospital was the most horrible days of my life. I kept a journal while I was in there of the treatment. I think I cried the whole time because of the pain and treatment."
