Hi Jazi,Im sorry that you have to worry about the very soon upcoming surgery and the sensitivity of your father.We know they only worry out of Love and Parental Protection so try not to be upset. Just try to reassure him that God will bring you through and this will ADD years to your life. Just ask him to say a sincere prayer from the heart just as I(TERRI) have done for you to come out with a smooth and speedy recovery. Don't get discouraged just stay determined and remember the aches and pain you suffer are the reason you're doing this,and that you're not doing it to "hurt" anyone.Sometimes they(parents) think you're only doing to hurt them. NO IM doing this because "I" hurt.Ok I think Im starting to vent and I want to keep this positive. So once again I pray for you to have a very sucessful surgery and a problem free recovery.Keep me posted and I'll see you on the "losing" side.

Have you ever seen the movie: THE WIZARD OF OZ??? Well, soon you will be saying what the wicked witch said when Dorothy threw a bucket of water on her: "I'M MELTING!! I'M MELTING!!!" Those lbs will just melt off of you soon. You will soon be walking down the YELLOW BRICK ROAD to see the WIZARD OF OZ and your sweetest wish will be granted. Congratulations and good luck to you. My husband and I both had our open rny's at Pacific Bariatric in San Diego in 2001 and have lost a combined total of 325 lbs. YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
