Hi Yvette, Good luck with your surgery. You will do just fine, but make sure you get up and walk, walk, walk, and drink your water... I had open rny, so I don't know much about the lap but, I would think there much the same. You will be sore, and may experience some pain, I did, but not much after the first two days. You won't feel like eating or I didnt. But when you start recovering and you get to eat different things and a little more, just make sure its the right choices, this is only a tool, watch out for the head hunger, when it happened I drank more water. You will probably ask yourself what on earth did I do, but believe me it's well worth it in the end, just be patient and do what your doctor tells you to do and you will be fine. I had my surgery August 20,2001 starting at 320 lbs, I am 13 months out and I have lost close to 140 lbs. I am getting ready to go Monday for my hernia repair and tummy tuck. So you take care, I'll keep you in my prayers and look forward to your updates. May god look over you. Love Peggy
