Today is my 6-month anniversary of my new life...and I have lost 100 lbs! I still can't believe it, I'm still seeing the same fatty in the mirror but my clothes are telling me different! Thank God for this surgery! I'm feeling great, no issues other than the hair loss (will it EVER end??) but thank goodness I have a lot to lose.

Hello Toni Thank you for your encouragement on my surgery page. I didn't know I had a surgery page until I started clicking here and there. I hear nothing but good things about Dr. Blackstone I have not yet met her and I don't get to see her until August 13th. I am very nervous and excited!! I have two co-workers who have had the surgery last fall and I seen them struggle and suffer some also. Do you have Cigna insurance? I had to FIGHT them and appeal twice and finially they approved it. I hope everything is going well for you so far. Please keep in touch and take care.

I saw Toni yesterday and she is doing well post-op. She was sitting up in the chair with her hubby and got her IV out. She and her surgery twins are probably racing the halls today. Welcome to the other sode, Toni! Your angel, Glenna

Toni - Well here you are, hanging out in post-op world. I kept watching the clock all day, even during the class at Shea. Rick seemed to be doing pretty well, but was very keen on seeing you as soon as they called and said you could visit before surgery. I'm sending all kinds of happy and healing thoughts your way and hoping that everything went well and you're happily munching on ice. I'll be right along in two weeks and then we'll really begin supporting one another. Talk with you soon as you're ready to chat. Jenny
