ANGEL UPDATE ON KELLY T.: I am sorry to report that Kelly T. is still experiencing complications following her surgery.

She is feeling some better today after some strong anti-nausea medicine she received from her doctor. She is hopeful she will be able to tolerate more through her feeding tube without throwing up. She didn't get enough nutrients last week, so her wound has not been healing properly. Kelly still has an RN caring for her twice a day and someone staying with her 24 hours a day.

After seeing the doctor again, she still has the leak. Unfortunately, she will have to go at least another ten days with no food or liquid through the mouth. She has not eaten or drank since her surgery. Tomorrow, she
will begin a 12 hour feeding pump through the stomach tube. She will be fed while sleeping. Kelly's words to me were, "I'm not sure how it works but as long as I don't throw up, I'll be happy."

Please take a moment to wish Kelly well. She is going through so much right now, and hasn't even mentioned weight loss. She has truly fought for her life through all these complications. I hope that I have positive news for my next update.
