Sandra- Your day is almost here! How exciting. I hope the next two days float by quickly... bringing you right up to the moment of your bowel prep, I mean surgery... :-) It (bowel prep and surgery) will be over before you know it, and you'll be waking up in that recovery room knowing you're a "loser". I'm so excited for you! Good Luck and Best Wishes --

Hi Sandra...it won't be long now. Godspeed with your surgery. I pray all will turn out perfectly well. For jitters: do diaphragmatic/deep breathing for periods of 10 minutes at a time. Also give yourself permission to worry about surgery for 15 minutes, and then go do something else. You can always come back later in your mind and worry again for 15 more minutes. I felt like I would vomit for the 24 hours before surgery (I didn't). It was just anxiety. Trust that you WILL feel some anxiety as the hour gets closer...there's just no getting around it. Just think of all your friends here at AMOS who are pulling for you and praying for you and that should give you a sense of peace. Hugs, Joy
