^j^ Angel report. Darlene is feeling better today. IV and foley are out and she has freedom to move. She feels bloated and they have loosened her binder a bit. Still has drain in but will come out tomorrow. She is planning to go home tomorrow too. Had a slight elevated temp to 99 but that has come back down.

This is Vicki, Darlene's angel. It is 1:20 CST and I talked to Darlene briefly. She is very drugged up with her PCA. Says she is in a lot of pain and dozes off and on. I will call her again tomorrow.

It is approximately 2:30 PST and I am told Darlene was wheeled into recovery at 3:30 EST. Even though her surgery time was set for 7:30 a.m., apparently there were several ahead of her and she was the "WLS of the day". She will be heading to her room which is undetermined as yet. I questioned the nurse about Darlene's general condition, etc. The nurse told me it went well and Darlene is doing okay with the pain. Naturally, I will not try to contact her before tomorrow but wanted to let you all know all is well with her; so we just have to keep her in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. I believe she also had her gallbladder removed which adds a bit of extra time to the healing process but well worth it. Thanks to all who have posted well wishes and I will try to get her "card" to her in the next few days.

This is Vicki, Darlene's angel. I spoke with Darlene's friend Lil. Darlene was still in recovery, but surgery went well. Surgery started later than anticipated. Surgery time was 10:00 am but it didn't get started until noon. She still has her gallbladder which she won't be too happy about. She tried to talk her surgeon into taking it, thus avoiding a future surgery. I will talk to her tomorrow.

Best of luck on your surgery. I read your profile - with your life, don't know how you keep your sanity!! Be sure and rest when you get home and try to keep calm in the midst of the turmoil going on around you! Hugs and kisses, pat
