"I met Dr. Rodriguez on May 22, 2001 and I found him to be compasionate. I did not feel self-conscious during our vist. He never once made me feel guilty for being the way I am. In fact, this is what he said that brought tears to me eyes, " Lenora, you are defintely a candidate for this surgery. Not only do you need it, but you deserve it."
All I can say is wow!
Dr. R (as we call him), recently visited our support group meeting and I think he was as much in awe of us as we were of him. He walked into a new group, where there was standing room only. This room was full of people praying this is their answer, people that are approved and waiting for him to give the chance to start their new life and those that are on their journey and so full of life. It was a wonderul opportunity to hear what he had to say and to see him converse with people on such a natural level. We have started an email group and he posts weekly and it is wonderful. I have never had this kind of relationship with any Doctor, much less a surgeon. I believe the positive feelings these encounters cause will only increase the good will and confidence at the time of surgery."
