I am three weeks post-op this Monday August 17, 2001. I struggled the first few weeks but I promise you that it will get better. Try to think positive and remember the reason you had this surgery to begin with. A HEALTHIER and happier life! Beth

Deborah, Congratulations on your surgery! The first 2 weeks are the toughest after an open, but believe me, it gets a little better each day. So hang in there, because it is so worth it! Just get plenty of rest and walk around in between as much as possible. You will feel better soon. A WLS friend,

****ANGEL UPDATE**** I just got off the phone with Deborah's Husband Shannon. She was sleeping. The medication they have her on is helping with some of the pain. They think she is having muscle spasms so they are going to give her some other medication for that. She has some nausea. Shannon said they were going to get her up later this evening to walk her. Stop by her surgery page when you can and wish her good luck. Way to go Deborah!!!!! You've made it to the other side.
