"As of today, I have completed my pre-op work and met with Dr Tomasello. I am waiting for insurance approval. My personal impression of Dr Tomasello is that I am very impressed with his bedside manner and his comfortable approach to his patients. He is extremely friendly and very open and willing to help his patients. Always ready with a warm and welcoming smile. My professional impression of Dr Tomasello is that he is very knowledgable and experienced. I am completely comfortable trusting him as my surgeon and basically with my health and life. Dr Tomasello covers all aspects of the surgery and post-op care. After all, this is not a "cure-all" for obesity, you have to work hard over time to keep it working for you. The office staff was a bit cold and distant but I am sure as familiarity develops, they will become comfortable with us. We did have an 1130am appointment that was pushed back to 2pm, because Dr Tomasello was in emergency surgery, and we ended up waiting 1 2/2 hrs to be seen. It was all worth it though. You are required to attend a pre-op information meeting prior to schedualing an appointment, which are held on a monthly basis at a neighboring hospital and then you can schedual an appointment and I had my first appointment within a month. I am very pleased with Dr Tomasello and his staff, all around, he and his office, I strongly recommend."
