Kane Community Hospital

"The staff in ICU, where all WLS patients stay, were just wonderful. All of them were professional, but also very personable and helpful for any needs you may have. They made my stay much more comfortable than I could have wished."

Paul LaBrie

"I just recently met Dr. Schauer at a pre-op workshop. He comes across very sincere with little of the attitude you might expect of a well-reknowned doctor. Can't wait to meet him at my pre-op consultation. 10/02 - Guess that was an old entry. To update, I've moved from getting my WLS in Pittsburgh to Kane, PA. Dr. Schauer expected me to stay in Pittsburgh, after my release from the hospital, for up to and possibly more than 10 days! This would put terrible hardship on my family, not only financially. So we looked into a closer group called Liv-Lite at Kane Community Hospital. Their about one hour from our home, and Dr. LaBrie there has done the Sapala-Wood pouch surgery upwards of 70 times now. He also is very sincere and shows great concern for his patients. I really like him and his office staff. The hospital is very small, but more than make up for the size by being exceptionally personable with patients. I think I will get wonderful care both from Dr. LaBrie and the hospital staff."
