Carie, congratulations on your wonderful weightloss and best of luck to you on your upcoming PS!! You look great!!
I had my open RNY in 01/03 and am now I'm 8# to goal. I started out at 292 (probably more like 300) and my BMI was 49 and I was bursting out of my 26 1/2's. I'm now at 168 and my BMI is 26.3 and wearing a size 12. Once I heal from my TT, my PS tells me I'll be a 10 for sure. Imagine!! I have a pretty LOW pain tolerance and would have rated my post-op pain as an 8 on a 1:10 scale.
In November had my arms done and breast implants and a lift done. My PS wants to use my arm pics on his website as soon as the scars turn pale. They look great. So do my breasts and I know you'll love yours too. On a scale of 1:10 that surgery was about a 7. I had this done on the Monday before Thanksgiving and went back to work Tuesday of the following week, feeling pretty good but sore.
This past Monday I had some lipo done (1000 ccs) to remove some persistent and hereditary fat rolls from my back/lats and upper hips. He injected some of the fat into my fanny to give me a more shapely tush. (It got very flat in spite of a lot of working out). I'm starting to develop some bruising (not much though) am still as sore as heck and have a lot of swelling, but it should resolve in another 2 weeks or so. On a scale of 1:10 this would be rated as about a 4 or a 5. I took off 2 days from work and then worked 3/4 days yesterday and today. I'm wearing a one piece body shaper that helps a lot.
In May I'm having a TT and thigh lift and then I'm done. Lots of $$$ but definitely worth every penny. Thank God for Darvocet! I think I'll need to take 2 weeks off from work for this, at least.
Please let me know how you are doing post op.
