"The hospital itself was o.k. I was disapointed that after I had my surgery that no one put my c-pap machine on me in recovery or when I got to my room. the next morning my Dr. was upset with me about it. Well, I was on pain meds. and I never thought of it and I don't feel that it was my place to remember it. And I had a bracelet on that said I was not to have tape, and when I woke up my IV was in my neck, and what do you think? It was covered with tape. They were supposed to have used the paper tape. And I thought that the nurses was going to make sure that we walked 2 times per shif, well, never once did they tell me to, I just knew that I had to do it. I thought that Rona came by to see all the WLS paients, never saw her. Oh, well that is all behind me and I am doing GREAT!!"
"My first impression of Dr. Schmitt was that he looks to be young. The more I talked to him about the surgery, I could tell that he has a great deal of knowlege and was able to answer all of my questions. He stress the importance of all the after care that I would be needing, and about the protein supplements being very important. His office staff was really great. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone considering having the surgery.
