"My 1st consult with Dr. Boe was very productive. He was very friendly. He explained the proceedure in layman's terms and used diagrams. He answered all my questions and answered questions I didn't know to ask. He was upfront about the risks. He didn't rush through anything. He really impressed me!
My impression of him has never changed. He was wonderful from the very beginning. He was very caring before my surgery and after. All of my follow up visits have gone well also.
The staff at this facility, from the receptionist to the discharge nurse was extreamly knowledgeable in this proceedure since it is a bariatric center. That's all they do there.
If I had to list anything negitive I guess it could be that I felt kind of lonely during my stay. I traveled from out of state so I didn't have visitors. I would have liked a little more contact with staff. They pretty much leave you alone which isn't nessesarily bad, but like I said, kind of lonely.
After you leave the hospital the care continues with letters and phone calls. You are given a binder where all issues are addressed from start to finish. From do's and don'ts to menus. They offer 24 hour help and have always gotten back to me with answers to my concerns. A list of support groups are given also.
I have been truely satisfied with my journey lead by Dr. Boe and his staff!"
