Aloha Everyone, I spoke with Lola on Saturday. She is 10 days post op from BPD w/ DS, gallbladder removal and appendectomy. She did have to stay a couple of extra days in the hospital due to difficulty in breathing and fever. She went on on Wednesday and she is breathing alot better. She did tell me that she had a scare with bleeding from one of her JP openings, however, it is better. She is NOT eating!! I told her that she must EAT! She is only doing protein shakes. I told her to at least try some baked fish, mashed pototoes, chicken noodle soup w/ extra broth, etc. I told her that she will not regain her strength if she doesn't eat. Also, if she waits too long to eat, when she tries, she may have stomach cramps. Well, I must go do some work before I go to the beach today in P-A-R-A-D-I-S-E!! Aloha, Cynthia

ANGEL ZOOMING IN FROM HAWAII!!-- I spoke with Lola on Saturday. She told me that she was doing ok. She had alot of pain and had to switch to a different pain med. She felt that she would stay an extra day in the hospital and leave on Monday. She is at New York University Medical Center. Aloha!--

While I was at the gym, I received a voice mail from Lola's mother. She called to let me know that Lola made it through surgery and is doing ok. She was still in recovery and was having some pain. I will call the hospital later or on tomorrow to check on her. Lola, welcome to the "Switched World".

Lola, Best wishes to you on your surgery and recovery. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Soon, you'll be on the healing side, and it's all downhill from there. :-)

ANGEL WATCH - Lola is scheduled for BPD w/ DS on Thursday at New York University Medical Center with Dr. Christine Ren. Please visit her page and wish her well. She is a little nervous. However, I have assured her that Dr. Ren is a very capable surgeon. She performed my surgery 2 months ago.
