Hello and welcome to the other side!!!! I was so glad to finally get on the computer today and read up on "my buddies" and saw where your daughter posted for you....I am soooo happy that you are out of the Hospital, you looked so good Sunday before I left....I am so very happy for you....please keep me posted on your progress... you have a precious family and George and I enjoyed getting to meet them during your hospital stay....I have been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and continue to hope that you will be problem free and have a safe and speedy recovery.....let me know if at anytime I can do anything for you and Please keep in touch ... I'm not Harriet, I'm Nikki her daughter. Mom just wanted me to let everyone know that she is home from the hospital. OK, so she isn't at her home, but here with me and Grandma. She does wish that they would have let her bring her "buddie" home with her and she is still having pain. She wants to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and notes. Thank Vickie who came by to see her in the hospital. And Tiffany, who was back in the hospital due to some complications. She stopped by the room and visited when she was out on her walks.

Just to let everyone know... I went to visit Harriet Pratt today ( her open RNY was on 7/26/01) at the hospital and she looks GREAT! She says she's much better than yesterday. She's up walking some and is treasuring her 1 oz. of water per hour. She's glad they removed her NG tube this morning. Her PCA pump has become a good friend... LOL. Please send her your prayers that her recovery continues smoothly. Hugs and prayers to all. Vicki

I was so glad to see the post this morning that you came through surgery fine. I will be attending the new support group meeting today and will be thinking about you. I'll be going on Friday, August 3rd. Best of luck, Lyn

I'm not Harriet's angel, but we have the same Dr. at the same hospital with the same type of surgery... sisters of WLS. Just wanted to let everyone know that I spoke with Harriet's boyfriend last night. He said she had come thru her surgery (open RNY) fine. She's in some pain, but is in and out of it... her mom and daughter are with her now to give her support. I'll be going to visit her tomorrow , when she's feeling a bit better. Please post your good wishes for her and I'll copy them off to take to her in the hospital. Hugs and prayers to all pre-ops, post-ops, and "thinkers". Vicki

Harriet; Good luck on your surgery on Thursday... we are "twinkies" as I will be having my surgery the same day (July 26th). I had my consult with the surgeon last Friday, did all my pre-op stuff that day... was originally given a date of August 1st (I go to school full-time, so was trying to get in early)... Anyway... it got moved up. Are you nervous? I am... even with all the preparation I have done! Take care and see you on the lighter side!

harriet, just a few days to go!!!! i will say since i am the last patient rhonda has done i feel great!!!!! i have alot of soreness but vey lttle pain ans no complications!!!!!! i will come and see you this week end if you want company maybe tifanie and i can show you our new scars!!! smile.........
