I just want to thank all of you for the kind words of support. I am going through a bit of an emotional roller coaster. Mostly just going from very excited and happy to unexpectedly weepy. I hope that is normal and will pass soon. I had my pre-op endoscopy on Friday and will see the surgeon today for my final visit before surgery. I have everything scheduled, loved ones who are planning to come see me through it and have begun the final countdown. I've cleaned out my closets and drawers; removed all the winter and fall "fat clothes". A friend who had the surgery a few months ago, gave me a whole bag of clothes in a variety of sizes. I looked through them and was totally overwhelmed. I can't imagine fitting even one leg into some of this stuff. I've also found a few summer clothes that don't currently fit. Hopefully, they will work for a while fairly soon. Exactly 14 days from now, I will be asleep and my new life will begin! Thank you again. Your stories, words of wisdom and pictures all give me hope for a better future. Cheryl

Hi Cheryl! Big congratulations on your surgery date! I bet you are so excited! Just hang in there and try to be patient! Don’t worry if you are nervous, scared, excited or go through a thousand of different emotions. This is all normal, so go with the flow! Remember that we’re all family here and we’re here to give you our support, lend an ear and not judge. I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you today and that you are in my thoughts and prayers for a successful, problem-free surgery and recovery. I’m so happy for you. Congratulations on your surgery date! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- Congratulations on your surgery date and may God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Not to mention the look on YOUR face when you look at those pictures and compare them in a few months! It’ll be a BIG WOW!!! Good luck and God Bless!!!
