Laurie Spaulding
" My first impression of Dr. Spaulding was that she is kind and very confident.She put me very much at ease. My first impression really hasn't changed much. She's very caring and confident in what she is doing. The office staff are really sweet people very helpful, not at all condescending. At this point in time I haven't really experienced anything to dislike or to "like least" about the doctor. I was disapointed about the long wait to have the surgery. I expected maybe 4 or 5 months but my date was sent exactly one year from my first visit. I would say that future patients should expect a very thorough visit. She does'nt pull any punches. Dr. Spaulding strongly emphasizes aftercare. She sends you home with homework You have to pretend that you have already had the surgery and do a three day diet plan for after surgery. You bring it in with you on your second visit they look at it to make sure you understand what it is you are suppose to do. You also have to take a quiz to see that you understand about the surgery, and about the importance of the aftercare for years to come. She lets you know that you will be scheduled for a series of appointments at different time intervals after surgery until your at one or two a year for the rest of your life. She was very thorough in explaining the risks of surgery. At this point I believe Dr. Spaulding to be a very competent doctor. Both Dr. Spaulding's surgical competence and bedside manner seem to be great. "
