Hi Holly,
Thanks to you and all the people who post here-- without this site I would never have had the courage to follow thru with this very big step in my life. I feel this is an excellent site for information, both pro and con and the support is wonderful! I go to a support group near my home once a month but its just so cliqie(SP). They help a bit but are more concerned with vanity. Me I hope I don't get like that- and if I do I hope someone slaps me to make me realize that I am doing this for my HEALTH! So happy to hear about your great progress!! Keep it up! Thanks so much for all the help by posting on the website.

Holly - I just read your post. Thank you! That was just what I needed to hear. I am having surgery tomorrow and am getting scared. But your words encouraged me so much. I weigh 365, so maybe I will do as well as you have. You should be very proud of yourself. God bless you!
Hi Holly, I had lap RNY on 1/30/03. Started at 356 and I'm down 45 lbs. I have trouble with chicken & turkey too, but my friend made me some meatballs in sauce and they went down great!! best to you.
My prayers will be with you as you go through the surgery and recovery. May your strength be restored; your recovery be swift and your tender heart be renewed.
Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. The big day will be here before you know it! I hope surgery and recovery are quick and uncomplicated. Best wishes as you move forward into a healthier life.
