"I met with Dr. Laycock and a resident that was assisting him and found them both to be very approachable and helpful. The Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center program requires that you attend 3 support group sessions(1 a month, more like information sessions than a support group), loose 15 pounds, meet with the nutritionist and the nurse practictioner before you meet with the surgeon so it took over three months to get this appointment - but it was worth it because I walked away knowing the date I am scheduled for surgery!
Dr. Laycock explained the procedure and the aftercare program to me in terms that were easily understood and asked me if I had any questions at each step along the way. He was very thorough and very nice. "
