I've been asked to post an update :) Well, today is my 1 yr anniversary :) I feel great! Surgery was one of the best things I have ever done in my life!! I am down to 138, and my goal was 150 :) The doctors say my ideal weight is 126, but hey, I've come a long way and if it stops today I don't care! :) I also had a hernia fixed and a tummy tuck done on Feb. 22, '02 and that went well - the tummy tuck was a breeze in comparison to 4 c-sections and WLS :) Thanks for the well wishes - love you all!!

Hey Johanna, I am glad to see that everything went well and that you are now safely on the other side. I am anxiously awaiting my turn. 22 days and counting for me, I can't wait!!!!! I hope that you are feeling better and to see you at the next support group meeting next week. Keith

Well folks I made it :) I'm home and safely on " the other side ". I felt rough for a few days, but with each day it gets a little easier :) I had a Dr. Appt today and lost 13 pounds! I'm so happy and it feels great to be home! I wish to extend a great big warm bear hug to each and everyone of you for all of your support and emails of faith and encouragement - I couldn't have traveled this far without you!!! A special big hug and thank you to Kathy Sqalli!!! You are a wonderful angel!!!

hi all...i just spoke with joanna...she had open rny just yesterday and she says she feels awful...but she sounds good!!!! i told her to ask them to up the dose of the pain meds...she has been up and walking...i told her to remember every day gets better....(((((HUGS))))))

hi all...Fern, the wonderful officemanager at our dr's office just called me to report that joanna and her surgery sister meryl (doesnt have a surgery page) both made it through!!!!!! they are both in their rooms (maybe together...dont know yet) and doing well...i will post more when i talk to them tomorrow. i dont want to call tonight cause i know how that first night is!!!!you go girls!!!!!!!!
