Kathy, I am wishing you a successful, complication-free surgery and a smooth, quick recovery. I had my open RNY on 12/10/01 and can honestly say that I have NO regrets other than not having done this several years sooner. It is, without a doubt, the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you begin your healthy new life.

I am not sure where the 5/11/02 came from on my surgery date, It will be the second week of July of 2002, please correct this

Hello Kathy, Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. I hope and pray that all goes well and that you are in surgery soon. I just can't imagine being so close and having it all ripped away in an instant. God bless you and keep you in His PEACE

I arrived at the hospital this morning, every thing all lined out, IV's started only to find out that MY GHP insurance had contacted the Dr. to tell them that they would not cover his fees for the surgery. I have contacted the Medicare office for paper work for part b Medicare. I already have part A but declined part B because of having regular insurance. Anyone conuting on your Dr. to cover your surgery, be sure to double check to verify that your ins. is picking up all tabs.
