Hello Linda. Just thought that I would let you know I will be praying for you, for your insurance and for the upcoming surgery. I have AETNA PPO and I had no problem getting aproval for My VBG. The only medical supervised diet I tried was a one time try at diet pills, and just think here I am having my surgery on the 12th of April. We just got on AENTA for our insurance in Nov and I was approved in Feb.. Good Luck.. GOD Bless you!

Well, I know I'm at the right program! Dr.Herron called tonight about changing the surgery from RNY to BPD. He explained that he's concerned with the risks due to undoing the surgery for reflux. Leaks/bleeding. He thinks the BPD is better and we don't have to undo the surgery thus less complications. I'll still lose weight and all. He explained the possible side effects and all. Also provided me with sites(other than own)to make an informed decision. I wasn't pressured or anything. Take a few days and then call. Well, I know tonight that after reading everything this will be ok. Besides, he's done the surgeries and is aware of those complications. I'm trusting him on this one! 28 days and counting! Hopefully insurance will approve this.

Linda...YOU are always a part of OUR AMOS family if you want to be. DOn't give up sweetie. It took me 8 years to get this surgery, and I am now almost 3 weeks post-op. Good things truly do come to those who wait. Don't EVER give up if this is what you know you need to do. We are here for you Linda, always! Rhonda :o)

Don't give up! Please do go see another surgeon and keep your hopes high! It sounds like you would be a fine candidate, you just need to find a more supportive doctor. I know the waiting is hard, but nothing lost by trying another route. Good luck!
