"I was very impressed with my first meeting with Dr. Huse. I work in Sports Medicine and have met many physicians during my career. Dr. Hues made me feel comfortable and set me at ease, helping me prepare for this journey. He has a good sense of humor and will take his time with you to make sure all of your questions/concerns are met. His office staff are very helpful, but very busy. It took a while to first meet Dr. Hues and the office staff wasn't very helpful at first. If you miss an appointment, you will have to wait a very long time to be seen. When I called his office with a question, the nurse always called me back that same day with an answer. Dr. Huse stresses the importance of walking and exercise with the program. He strongly encourages the support groups and meeting with your dietician on a regular basis. He works the the St. Vincent/Carmel Bariatric Services in Indianapolis/Carmel, Indiana. He was a straight shooter when talking about the procedure. He informed me of the risks/complications and emphasized that the surgery is only a tool, not a promise to lose weight. Dr. Hues is a very experienced general surgeon. He has many roux-en-y procedures under his belt. I would recommend Dr. Hues without hesitation and place him with very high on my list of surgeons that I have met in my career."
