Hi Bonnie - just wanted to say I will keep you in my prayers. I am scheduled for lap RNY on August l and I feel exactly as you. I resear hed for a long time and my family, especially my daughter, were all for it until I got the call with the surgery date. Now my daughter says she wishes I would not do it. She is 26 and beautiful and has no idea what it is like to be in my shoes. Well, so much for that. My son hasn't really stated an opinion. My husband left me four years ago because I was fat and then married someone who weighed 300 lbs. She has since has open RNY and lost 100 lbs. I couldn't believe that at the age of 56, she was 46, they had a big wedding and she wore the long white gown, the whole nine yards and they had been living together for a year. She and her husband were youth ministers at church. I'm glad my children didn't go there! Well, so much for all of that but I do wish you the very best. Give me a chat if you want to compare notes.
