"Everyone was great, the only bad feeling I ever had is when I was waking up in recovery, I kept complaining of the pain and I felt I was not getting the attention I needed to make the pain go away (LOL), but now I am not sure that it happened that way because I kept coming in and out of sleep and once I got to my room and became more aware I felt ok."

"I feel that considering that when I was referred to Dr. Siegert in Jan and was given a first appointment date of JULY 16 and now I am scheduled to have my surgery on May 20!!!! That his staff has went above and beyond the call of duty to help me get in earlier. What happens is that when you are given the first appointment date you have 2 weeks form that time to go to his office and pick up your info packet. Only then is your date "inked in" and at that time you are asked to verify that they have all the correct contact information. And then they will ask you if they happen to have a cancellation if you would like for them to call you, needless to say I said yes and then gave them my cell phone number. And that is how I managed to get in earlier. My first impression of Dr. Siegert was that he was very rushed but he came in the room and sat down and took his time to answer all my questions. The only reason I knew he was rushed is because I heard him outside my door state that he had a call coming in that he needed to take and was concerned that he would not have the time. I liked the fact that he sat in a chair and maintained eye contact (a big thing for me) with me. His office was full & there was a bit of a wait. Dr. Siegert is very short & to the point. He was very honest about the pro & cons of this WLS. I asked if he does the lapro... procedure and he stated that he does not and that there is only one other doctor that does offer that in my area, but that my insurance would not cover that Dr. I feel that Dr. Siegert is very good and therefore it is necessary for him to be "short" with the first visit. My second visit consisted of him examining me. He had a nurse present, which made me very relaxed. He addressed a few concerns that I need to address and asked me to loss 10 pounds in the next month as I had actually gain that much in the last month....grrrr... "
