Sharon - I'll bet getting a date that quickly was a shock for you, especially when so many folks are having such a hard time getting a toe in the door. I went through the exact same fears about leaving my young son without a mom. But, I also knew that without surgery I had no chance for a longer, healthier life. It took three times for me to finally make it to table, but now that it is done, I can truly say this has changed my life. I am only two weeks post-op, with no complications, and I can honestly say I haven't felt this good in five years. Just meditate on all of the positive aspects and keep that positive mental picture with you. Here's hoping that you have a successful surgery and an uneventful recovery. Hugs, love, and peace - Melody

SHARON~~ LOOK AT THE BRIGHT SIDE OF HAVING SUCH A QUICK SURGERY DATE....YOU DON'T HAVE AS MUCH TIME TO WORRY AND FRET ABOUT IT!! HANG IN THERE~~ May you always have an Angel by your side. Watching out for you in all the things you do. Reminding you to keep believing in brighter days. Finding ways for your wishes and dreams to come true. Giving you hope that is as certain as the sun. Giving you the strength of serenity as your guide. May you always have love and comfort and courage

Dear Sharon~~~~~~I read your post today; I am sorry that you had to go through the Dobutamine Stress Test. I guess if they told you before time that you'll feel like your chest will explode--no one would take the test. You think? I am glad that the results were good and that it means you are one step closer to your WLS. Congratulations on your approval. I will keep you in my prayers. Be well.

I am on the first step of my journey. I have BCBS Blue Choice of Texas. At my company, we have a BCBS rep on site. I turned all my papers in to her and she faxed them to the main office. My manager told her to do everything she could to expedite. It's nice having your manager in your corner. Now's the waiting game. I turned in the papers last week.... so I'll give our BCBS rep a little longer before I bug her to find out the status.
