"5/23/02 Dr. Mayer was very pleasant to meet. He's not afraid of a patient with knowledge and even "quizzed me" a couple of times! Heather, his nurse is a sweetie. Although he's been a bariatric surgeon in the military, he is not looking at becoming a 'bariatric center' as he enjoys performing a variety of surgeries. His bedside manner is first rate! He visited me three times a day. He's very soft-spoken and easy to talk to. For me, surgical competence is much more important than beside manner...but with Dr. Mayer, I received both! Thank you Dr. Mayer. "
