This is mom, we went to Nashville yesterday, real good visit, staples out and drain out, possible infection starting on top 3 staples, antibiotic given. According to the office scales Jami has gone from 291 to 265, which is 26 lb total in 14 days, Yahooooo! Her scales is 3lb off from this, so will have to remember that when weighing in. But I am pleased with her progress and so was Dr.Husted. Bless his heart, and Jamies, they are so good to my girl. Hate going home Sunday and leaving her but I know she will be okay now. See ya, Mom

25 pounds in 11 days!!! You go, girl....and please take me with you. I am so happy for you and glad that weight is GONE!!! It is so good to keep hearing from your Mom on your progress. Keep us updated. Post on Dr. Husted's site, too, they're all anxious to know how you are doing. Congrats again, keep up the good work. You just make me want this to happen even more (if that's possible!) Hope to send my appeal letter off this week to see if I can get the insurance to approve. Have a great week - and keep up the good work.

Mom again for Jami, she is doing so great!! Of course she tires easily, but is started on the protein shakes and finds it gives her a bit more strength. We rode to Cades Cove on Saturday, so did everyone else so we turned around at the campground, and came back, the ride was beautiful, stopped for a picnic at one of the overlooks, Jami enjoyed her jello and sucking the juice from an orange in the crisp mountain air. Today we went to church and friends could see a difference in her face and the fit of her favorite dresss, 25 lb in 11 days, WOW!!! We are off to a great start here, hope everyone else is having this kind of success.

Hey Jami girl, Sounds like you are a real loser!!!! Who ever thought we would want to be called a loser?!! I am so thrilled for you - hug your kids for me. My little granddaughter keeps asking me if that doctor has "fixed" me yet. Maybe soon I will be able to tell her yes. So glad your Mom has been there to help you. You take it easy, do what the Doc and Jamie say, and I hope to see you soon. You are an inspiration for all of us. Continued good luck to you. Peggy

Hi all, this is Mom again, Jami is doing real good, we walked some in WalMart today to get some things she could eat and it tired her too much, we won't try that again for a while. Aside from a couple of coughing fits that threw her for a real sore belly, she has done real well. The scales today show 272lbs., down 20lb from the day after weight, loss includes her surgical gain. Not bad for 6 days. It is showing in her face already. The kids teased her about having a ham and cheese sandwich for lunch with them, even offered to put it in the blender, she is taking it as they are offering it, all in fun!! More later

Hi everyone, This is MOM, angel for Jami, boy, is that one funny, she is the angel. She is 5 days post-op and doing great. We just got home from Nashville late last evening and we were too tired to post, for everyone who was anxious to hear word, I am sorry for being so late. Surgery was late getting started, that was the hard part, waiting for the time to come. She went to sleep easily and woke easily and the words Dr. Husted used were, "she was easy, everything went smooth, no problems, gall bladder still there, it was fine." Now aside from a bit of gas and no appetite, she is doing fine. Feels good walking, but recommends that anyone who is having surgery take your comfortable walking shoes to the hospital. We took house slippers and all the walking on hard floors has caused sore feet. With the fluid gained during surgery, weight was 292lb. On discharge yesterday, weight was 284 lb. wooooooohooooooooooo!!!! Thank you to everyone for the kind words and prayers. They were greatly appreciated. We will update anytime we have a news flash.

Jami, Whew it is hard to believe your date is finally here!! We wish you all the best as you "cross over". We met you the at the seminar in Nashville - and you already had your approval - and we were just beginning!!! May God bless you and keep you safe during the surgery - and touch Dr. Husted as he operates. We know everything will go well - and we want to hear all about it when you get home!!! Again, best wishes and hugs from Shannon and Peggy in North Carolina.
