I'm home from the hospital. Thanks for all the support. Reading your messages is inspiring. I had surgery on Wednesday and returned home to my sister's house on Friday. I still have a drain but it will be removed on Wednesday. Unfortunately I'm not a big loser yet as I have gained 6 pounds but I know it is just water weight and will go away. I'm feeling really good!

Hi Mary Kay! Congrats on having your surgery! I bet you feel relieved now. It's over and now you are on the other side and can join the ranks of the losers. Welcome, my friend!!! Happy RE-Birthday to you! From this day forward you life will change forever. Just try to take it easy and remember to sip, walk, deep breathe and cough. These first few days are rough, but I assure you they get better with each passing day. I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you today and that you are in my thoughts and prayers for an uncomplicated, swift recovery. You are an official loser!! Wishing you much success in your weight-loss journey. Soft hugs to you today. God bless, DI from NJ - Lap RNY, 12/09/03

Thanks so much for that prayer. That is just what I needed tonight. I have begun my preparation for surgery. I am packing a few things as I go around cleaning my house and getting ready for the hospital trip.

Best of luck with your surgery. I will have ya in my prayers for a painfree and speedy recovery. ****Loving Father, I entrust my AMOS friend to your care this day; guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the medical people who minister in your Name, and grant that every cause of illness be removed, I may be restored to soundness of health and learn to live in more perfect harmony with you and with those around them. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.*** ~~T

Hi Guys, Well I had my pre-op appointments today. I am very excited still but a bit nervous. Any kind thoughts or suggestions on handling the nervousness would be appreciated. A week from in the morning is surgery date.
