Laurence Tanaka
"Dr. Tanaka has been great so far. He let me know that it would be better to have an open RNY, rather than lap, because there is a lower risk of bleeding on open. Since I do not accept blood transfusions, this is important for me to know. So, I opted for open RNY. My first impression of Dr. Tanaka was good, not great. He's not super personable, but he's very nice. He did seem rushed, but that could be my fault. I was a little late and I think he was trying to make sure I'ld be able to be on time for my next appt that day. Let me tell you my second impression of Dr. Tanaka was GREAT!!!! He was very personable and funny the day of surgery. He made my husband feel very comfortable and kept him well informed. Everytime he checked on me in the hospital, he was very nice and always cracked a joke. He continually told me how great I was doing. Many of the nurses told me they felt he was the best at what he does. A few nurses had WLS and requested Dr. Tanaka. I highly recommend him."
