"Update 8/07/00: Dr. Thompson is one of the best surgeons for WLS! He is very nice and friendly. He never rushes me through the appointment and always gives me plenty of time to ask questions or talk. The surgical WLS center of Whittier hospital that he works with are great!********** Update: 4/11/00 The Center for Surgical Weight Loss (used to be Lite Life) that my surgeon works with are so great! The RN that runs the program, Joan Lazaun (sp?), is fantastic. My counselor Roxanne is so helpful and kind. If anyone is looking for a friendly program in So. California, this is it. They are the best! (Dr. Thompson has been doing weight loss surgery for over 15 years!) They have a great support group that is led by a psychologist (Anne Hotchkiss).*********** Update: 2/20/00 I saw Dr. Thompson on 2/17/00 and thought he was really great. He answered all my questions and I think everything will go well. He is thorough and also very personable.************ 1/31/00: An office person originally told me that he does Lap RNY, but he only does Open RNY. My PCP has worked with Dr. Thompson and says he is really good. Dr. Thompson is in my medical group and I have heard some good things about him. My cousin has a friend who went to him and I called her. She told me he is wonderful.I am excited that I will meet him soon.***********"
