John Maguire
"I have only seen dr. Maguire in his group presentation but was very impressed with him. He is an obvious caring person with a heart for helping morbid obese people get their life back. He spoke of patients triumps over weight as if they were his own personal experiences. He is very cautious about the patients he does it on and is very serious about his follow up care. He has an excellent support group that meets monthly and a wonderful group of staff. For the first time in my 6 months of seeking weight loss surgery, at the end of the seminar, I felt like I was finally in the right place. I do just want to add that the other doctor I had seen, Dr. Earl Gaar, I still think is an awesome doctor and has a wonderful office staff. I just wish he did BPD/DS surgery. I wish more surgeons period would learn how to do this surgery because I think as more people have it and the word gets out about how normal life is post op, it will be the surgery of choice by more physicians which will be great because hopefully then, patients won't have to travel 3 hours from home like I am having to have this surgery. 1-29-01: I am now 8 months post op and if you are all looking for a surgeon, I'm telling you, this man and his entire office staff are FANTASTIC. I am a nurse and I have never worked iwth nor been treated by a physician who cares more or is better at his work that Mr. Maguire. He is a gift straight from heaven as far as I am concerned. "
