Chad: I don't blame you for being excited, even if your surgery is still 4 1/2 months away! Don't worry, you will feel reasonably good by Christmas, although you certainly won't be able to eat a big turkey dinner with all the trimmings!! But then that's the GOOD news, isn't it! I had laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery, which goes a little easier than open, and I was out of the hospital the next afternoon, however I am certain you will be feeling pretty good by Christmas or sooner. You're young and should heal well. This surgery is not nearly as bad as you may think, and it does a world of good. Congratulations for being brave enough to save your own life!
