Well, it’s official! You’re on the losing side for a month now. I hope that all went well for you! Your journey will have moments to “pause” – I’d like to impart some words of wisdom for when it does occur - remember these wise words whispered by Confucius – “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Be patient. You didn’t put it on over night, it won’t come off over night (DARN IT!)… RNY 10/31/03 – down 81 pounds!!! Good luck!

Matt, your surgery support page has you scheduled for 3/1/04, but the previous posts have me confused. If that is the corrrect date then good luck! And best wishes for a smooth surgery and a speedy recovery! If for some reason the date is wrong then I apologize. (if you're still waiting for a date, the sentiment stays the same...whenever it is. If you've already had surgery then congratulations! -Tony G

I wanted to wish you well with your upcoming surgery. I hope that all goes well and that you are up and out and about real soon. I'll bet you are are doing a happy dance accompanied by a bundle of unwanted "NERVES", but don't worry be HAPPY! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Good Luck!

Matt - Welcome to the Dr. Mehta patient group. You should feel assured that you have made the correct decision. I'm actually scheduled for surgery next week, just four weeks after my first consultation with Dr. Mehta. Dr. Mehta is the most professional and competent of the four surgeons that I had consultations with. I ultimately chose Dr. Mehta for three reasons: (1) His practice is a sub-specialty, dedicated 100% to bariatric surgery; (2) He is committed toperforming the surgery laparoscopically, unless he absolutely can't; (3) He is extremely professional, competent, and compasionate; (4) He has a reasonable consultation and surgery schedule.
