Hi everyone, Just wanted to poste an update. I had my hernia repair, and tummy tuck Mon. the 18th. I'm told it was a success. I was in surgery for 4 hours. They removed 7 pounds of skin. I feel like ms frankenstein, but I'm sure this too shall pass. Other than a few minor setbacks, bad reaction to pain med, etc. everything is going well. I'm not having near the amount of pain or immobility as I did with the gastric bypass. I hope all is well with everyone. GOD BLESS YOU ALL TODAY, TOMMORROW, AND ALWAYS~~~~

Hi. Congrats, you are on your way to the losing side. You have made a valiant decision for a healthier life and I applaud you. Good luck on your upcoming surgery and I hope you have a speedy and painless recovery and much success on the rest of your journey.

Renee, If God leads you to it-he will see you though it. Wishing you a successful plastic surgery,hernia repair, and speedy recovery. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. You will do fine. I do not want a hernia, but at least you will get yours paid for. Take care! Hugs!

Hi Everyone, :) My computer has been crashed. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. Just wanted to let everyone know that I went to my surgeon about this hernia and guess what!! that going to do the whole tummy tuck (abdonoplasty) ! So next Mon. 8/18/03 I will be getting a flat tummy!! I'm VERY nervous. I know the hernia has to be fixed, but I don't want to be cut again, not good experience last time. I'm trying to focus on the positive! The surgery will take off 10 to 15 lbs. I'm now 9mths out, down from 268 to 155. 113 lbs gone forever! I'm in a size 10 an 11. So everyone hang in there through the rough times, there will be rough times. It will get better :) GOD bless you all today, tommorrow, and always~~~~~

Hi everybody, I just wanted to say hello. I know I don't get on here near as much since my surgery. I'm just so busy now. It's strange how we all get so busy after the surgery huh!! Well I'm a little over 6 mths out and guess what. I'm 90 pounds gone forever!!! WOO HOO I'm down to 178 from 268. I would never have dreamed it. I bought a bathing suit the other day. Its a size 12!! I haven't been in a size 12 since high school!! A long time ago. It's so strange to meet people that say "why did you get that surgery your not big" Well duh I was that big!! It's so awesome to go to a yard sale and find all kinds of clothes that fit me, no more shopping in the fuller figure section. I bought my 11 yr old a shirt at a yard sale today and I'm wearing it. I'm still in shock everyday! I have so much energy. I feel good all the time. I have developed a hernia at the top of my insicion, but its a minor setup for all the positive. I'm wearing tank tops and shorts. I haven't done that in years. Wore jeans all year long. It's just so awesome. All you pre ops hang in there. It will be a rough road at first, but It will be worth it in the long run. GOD bless all the wonderful people on this site. This surgery truly is a GOD send.
