"Dr Welker is the most savvy surgeon I have ever had the joy of meeting. His dedication towards the obese is unrelenting. His bedside manner is excellent and he wants you to particpate in your medical care with him. If you dont understand something he makes sure you do. He has the famous Welker hug he gives to all his patients which is warm and caring.
I contacted him by email one night about the surgery and within the hour on a sunday night he had emailed me back asking for my phone number. He called us the next night and he and my husband spoke for about 45 minutes asking and answering all questions.
There isnt anything not to like about Welker. He is often referred to as the "Wizard" as he works his magic in a way no other surgeon can do.
Aftercare is very important to Dr Welker and he emphazizes it greatly and he is accessable to all of his patients via email if something comes up.
