"First impression of the surgeon was very good. I work at the hospital where the sugery will be done and he has an excellent reputation. I've only been to the office once, they seemed nice,but I had to keep calling to find out my status. I don't know why it took the insurance co., so long but once I started calling the insurance and the office staff it seemed to go a little faster. The surgeon does a alot of other surgeries so the wait for this elective surgery is extended. We have support group meetings 1-3 times a month. These meetings have usually 40->70 people attend, about half of these are either waiting for insurance approval or waiting for surgery. Also there is a post op speaker, so we can ask alot of questions, and the dietition moderates the meeting. I wish this process could go a lot faster. "
