Victor Stelmack

"I had my initial consult with Dr. Stelmack on Oct. 3, 2002. He was very informative and knowelegable. He answered all my questions politely. I felt very comfortable with him. He seemed to understand all I'm going through. He spent a long time with me and didn't try to rush me. He was very upfront with the risks of surgery. I will update more when I have more to tell. The office staff seemed very nice and helpful. It is comforting to know that the staff have had the surgery, seeing is believing. April 29, 2004***********Dr. Stelmack is what every surgeon/doctor should be. I attempted to have RNY surgery May 22, 2003 but after opening me up Dr. Stelmack found enlarged lymphnodes that were questionable. He biopsied one and sent it to pathology. Without knowing what was going on he made the wise decision not to continue with the procedure. The report came back indicating possible lymphoma. He was the most caring, thoughtful doctor you could want. He called me personally at home several times. He referred me to an oncologist. I was sent for more additional testing and after 6 months I was cleared (I did not have lymphoma, I'm just an unusual case). Dr. Stelmack then performed my RNY on December 5, 2003. I can't say enough good about him. I have had no complications and this surgery has been the best thing I have ever done. It has changed my life considerably and I am only halfway to my weight loss goal. "
