My gosh, I just realized it has been 4 months since my surgery and I haven't written much. This has been a wonderful experience. I am down 70 pounds as of this morning wearing 12-14 pants and large tops. What a change from July when I was in 22-24 tops and pants! I feel so much livelier. The restictions haven't been nearly as bad as I expected and I am adjusting. I feel like I am going to turn in to a bird if I eat one more bite of chicken/turkey/eggs! You are what you eat, you know. There is too much wonderful about this surgery to comprehend from just the web site, although it does give a fair idea. Anyone pre-op reading this should email me and I will give you the pros and cons of it. Trust me the pros far out weigh the cons! I am just being a bum today and probably should get going but I thought I'd check in and let you know I was still alive and kicking.-Tracy

Hello, I am home now. Still a little sore/stiff but headed out to feed and check on my horses. Everything went fine and the staff at De Paul Medical center was wonderful. I would not hesitate to reccommend them for any reason. The rooms are private and clean and the nurses are wonderful. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and well wishes. And thank you to Elizabeth for being my angel and checking on me. I have to tell you my husband has been absolutely WONDERFUL. I knew he was a great person but his attentiveness and compassion has suprised even me. He is such a doll. Our 13th anniversary is tomorrow and I feel very lucky to have him in my life! Anyway, enough of the mushies! I will update more as I feel like climbing up and down the basement stairs to get to the computer. Talk soon!

OK. Finally got ahold of Mike, Tracy's husband. Her surgery went great. Took about 90 mins. and she was in recovery about 3 hours. She just got to her room about 45 mins ago and she has already been up and walking! I told Mike I would call back in a day or two for another update. Elizabeth

Tracy, I wish you much happiness. I am so happy for you that you now get to start your journey. I am still waiting to be approved. It just is so exciting to see when you all are going for surgery. One thing I must remind everyone, be sure to continue to tell your husband how much you love him. Wishing you much happiness... and health .. Hugs Carolyn
