It's Chuck again. I don't know if I entered Laurie's password correctly because the site hasn't posted my earlier comments but here goes. For the most part Laurie's surgery went well. I was on pins and needles for awhile because the surgery took longer than expected but the extra time was explaned by the Dr. as follows. Laurie had some scar tissue of unknown origin which slowed down the cutting. Laurie also had her gall bladder hiding partly inside her liver. After exposing the entire gall bladder the Dr. observed some large and several small gallstones sooooooo he used a dye and took some X-rays before closing. (Just to make sure that no small stones had crept their way down the bile duct to cause problems at a later date). At least that's the way I understand it. When Laurie came up from Recovery @4:00pm She was pretty ZONKED so the family and I left her to sleep. At 8:00pm when our girls and I returned she was more coherent and doing her breathing exercises but still very tired. Our second visit didn't last very long either and the girls and I are looking forward to spending more time with her tomorrow. Wellll that's about it for now. I'll keep you all posted on her progress. (providing I have her password right and am allowed to post) Chuck

Laurie, Good Luck and God Bless. I'm here locally in Spokane, and hoping to have this procedure done myself one day. My cousin went through this process just short of two years ago, and let me tell ya', it's the most amazing thing. She looks and feels beautiful. She's healthy and glowing and without complication. If you ever want to talk, I'd love to hear from you. 534-3901. I'll be thinking of you today............Congratulations on your coming NewLife. Sincerely, Jennifer

Now the time has come for your surgery, and I know you are nervous. Just keep in mind, there are alot of people out here praying for you. Although most of us don't know one another in person, there is alot of support here on this site, and I wish you the very best. Good Luck and God Bless. I wish you a speedy recovery, and a great deal of weight loss. :)
