Good luck on not smoking. I know how hard it can be. I quit 9 years ago from smoking 3 packs a day. My daughter quit last week and is struggling. She calls me every time she wants a cigarette (5 or 6 times a day) for encouragement. She says if mom can do it so can I. You can do it.

Lesa Hello~~stopping by to wish you all the very best with your journey with smoking. Please just take one day at a time and stay strong. You can do it!! I know that it's very hard but don't give in and keep busy. Good Luck!!

Dear Lesa, You can quit. I quit 11 years ago after smoking for 30 years. I was up to 2 packs a day at one time. Take stock of all those you love and think why you want to quit. Do that each time you think you want to smoke and do something to keep your hands and your mind busy. It is as much a physical habit as it is a mental habit. Best of luck. I praying for you. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lesa, thank you for your kind wishes via email. May I wish you the same good wishes with your journey. Just stay with it and call, call, call. I thought I was making a pest of myself, but it is true . . . the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I was rejected first time and I have many co-morbidities. My pcp and my endo dr both sent as much documentation as they had on me and my pcp wrote a pretty good letter I think. I was supposed to get a copy, but haven't yet. Am anxious to read it. Just don't give up and try not to stress either. God Bless.

Hi again Lesa! I just read your profile (I guess I should have done that before I posted a response to you!). Anyway, I live in Corona, not too far from you (as compared to the other side of the country!). My husband's cousin had her surgery with Dr. Callery a year ago August. She really liked him a lot. He was very thorough and caring and has nothing but good things to say about him. I will be having surgery in San Diego through Pacific Bariatric hopefully around October or November (cross my fingers). Just thought I'd pass on the info to you!
