I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.

Gail congratulations to you on your wonderful weightloss. I know you found it a real kick when you were able to actually say that you weigh less than your drivers license. Have a ball at the ball and truly enjoy yourself for all the dances, proms, etc that you didn't get to go too. Blessings to you.

Hello.. It is almost a year out and I did my BMI and I am at 25 ideal! I cannot believe it.. oh what a year it has been.. and I went and had my driver license picture taken and it is a good one.. first time for that too.. and I weigh less than what it says!! I am now at 141 .. from 279lbs!! September 9 I go for pictures to take care of my hernia and abdominal plasty.. I'll let you all know about a date for that as soon as I am back from the docs// My husband and I are going to a ball in September (I missed my proms and all) so I am REALLY looking forward to trying on dresses.. I have visions of cinderella in my head :-) I get to go to the ball.. woo hooo I am so much more healthier.. and that's the real reasons I am out there living instead of watching it all pass me by.. I would do it again in a heartbeat.. Good luck and God bless on whatever stage you are at.. Love, Gail Hatfield

Hello Gail! I haven't had this surgery yet. But I had a hernia from another surgery I had. If it is a incissional hernia, then it shouldn't be hard to fix. The doctor can do it laproscopically most likely. My prayers are with you.

Hello everyone life is good!! I am six months post op and having no problems with food..something I had to work on I might add..I had to throw up a few times before I learned to "chew" when I was first post-op I used baby utensils to make my bites smaller.. that helped. The other day I was doing some crunches on the floor and my husband noticed my stomach "sticking out" and sure enough it looks like I either have a hernia or I am having an alian baby!! woo I freaked out and called the Doctor and made an appointment to see him March 5th in the mean time I am NOT doing any crunces because I don't know if doing more with hurt me some how unit I get it looked at anyway!! It seems like it gets bigger is that possible?? (its about two-three inches below the top of my incision line)my tummy was "deflating" now it stickes out more :-( I am trying not to freak out too bad because I've hear that hernia's are pretty common?? right?? well, on a more positive note I am doing well with my loss I am down from 279lbs-169lbs and other than this little thing(I hope it's little anyway) this surgery has changed my life.. now I am in the game instead of sitting on the side lines..Take care all and God bless you all at whatever part of the journey you are in!! Hugs-Gail

Hello, all you wonderful wls people.. I am alittle over 5 months and I have gone from 279 - 182.. 97 pounds gone! (sometimes it is hard for me to see the weight gone my mind still sees the old me) anyway my family says I am "melting" from my face on down. I am wearing 16 really comfortable and some 14's. I really have a hard time with all the skin on my tummy getting into my way..(skin integrity (sp)) and that my hair is still thinning out. Other than that everything else has been wonderful..my energy level has been through the roof and I am really a heathier person that what I was 6 months ago. Good luck everyone and thanks for being there for me when I've needed support! God bless everyone at whatever stage you are at.. Hugs, Gail
