Good luck on your coming surgery. My prayers are with you, and hoping for an uneventful surgery, and a speedy, painfree recovery. Keep your focus on healing. Make sure you walk, and keep up your breathing exercise. YOU CAN DO THIS! See you on the other side.

Lynda~~ sorry to hear about the behavior and reaction to your having WLS by your MIL. The bottom line, though is this, it's not up to your MIL, it's up to YOU. It's great and gives you a wonderful feeling to have your hubby supporting you 100%, but you are to be commended for wanting to take control and be proactive in your health care. Perhaps you can get some onformation from this website by clicking on "Library", and printing out the type of WLS that appplies to you. Educate her by giving it to her and have her read it (since she doesn't want to talk to you). She should not try to get *advocates* to be against YOUR decision, it's your health!!I'm sorry for being blunt, but some of my family femembers felt the same way~~a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do! You won't regret it!

Lynda - I read your post on your MIL. It's really too bad that she won't take the time to discuss this with you and get educated on the subject. Maybe you should give her the Al Roker article from People magazine. Good luck tomorrow.
