Kari, I am wishing you a successful, complication free surgery and a safe, quick recovery. I had my Open RNY on Dec. 10, 2001 and can honestly say that I have NO regrets other than not having WLS several years sooner. It is, without a doubt, the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you start your healthy new life.

hi Kari, I to had Dr Tillquist. He is great!! I had every confidence in him and his skills. Im 6 weeks out today and have lost 43 pounds. I had open procedure am still not back at work. This is my 2nd time around. Had a stapling about 16 yrs ago and it failed. I have every faith In dr tillquist and I know this time it will work for me., go for the gusto and you will do well carla klein

I just got my final approval. It is a go!!!! YEAH!!!!! Eileen called to talk to me. She had talked to the people at PacifiCare and they were going to deny the surgery due to me being a smoker. They told her that I still had 2 weeks and 2 days until surgery. And if I quit now, they would approve it. I told Eileen that I had quit 2 weeks ago. So she called them back and they approved it. Doesn't make perfect since to me, but right now all I know is that I WAS APPROVED!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!
