Barbara,
Things with the gastric bypass are going quite well. I have lost 183.60 pounds since June 2002!! I still have quite a ways to go but that's okay. I definitely want to weigh less than 200 and hope to get down to around 170 or 180. The last time I weighed 200 I was able to wear a size 9. That was many moons ago so I doubt I'm as "compact" as I was then but unfortunately, losing weight is no longer my primary focus.
On March 17th, I was diagnosed with Stage 4-B Terminal Cancer (adeno squamous carcinoma of the endometrium/endocervix). It spread rather quickly (like within 2 months) and overtook both ovaries, uterus, and cervix and then went to my lower lymph nodes and both lungs. While things are going better than expected at the moment, the docs do not expect me to live more than a few years.
So, I'm sure you'll understand when I say the bypass is no longer my first priority!! However, for the most part, I'm doing fine with life in general. I have very few "poor pitiful me" moments and I just live every day as it comes.
I hope this message finds you well and down to goal or at least really near it!
Take care,
Judy
