William O'Malley

"my internist recommended dr o' malley. i called in late october to make an appt. and was told he held informatonal meetings once a month, the next was the 3rd week of november, and the sec. made a one on one appt. for dec 12. the group meeting was very informative, everyone had very good questions, something i might not have even thought of, others did. i also needed to have an umbilical hernia repaired and at my appt. with dr. o he said he would be able to do both . he is professional, business-like and very matter of fact. i felt very comfortable and confident in his abilities. at that appt. i was given my surgery date of may 7th. i then had to make appts. with a nutritionist, a pyschiatrist and for an ultrasound to check my gallbladder. preferred care approved me within 3 days of all the paperwork getting to them, it was about 2 wks. prior to surgery. surgery went fine, the anesthesist was very reassuring, dr o popped in just before they took me in, the pa, betty, who is a freind was there in recovery when i woke up. the hospital (highland) was good, i had a private room, the bed was specially equipped for the supersized. it was fairly easy to get in and out of bed. dr o came in that afternoon to say everything went well, he didn't find anything he wasn't supposed to! i was hme in 3 days. 1 week after surgery i did develop an infection in the hernia site, dr put me on antibiotics for a wk."
