"I just had my appointment with Dr. Huber (September 2001). He lived up to the reputation of being compassionate and very knowledgable. Dr. Huber came highly recommended to me by my personal physician and highly recommended by several post ops and after meeting with him, I can concur. Some data (as it exists currently): Dr. Huber only does the open procedure. If you are set on lap RNY you will have to look elsewhere. His office staff and nurse (Debbie) also lived up to the glowing reports - they were extremely helpful and seemed very concerned about people undergoing this procedure. It appears as if there is roughly a two month wait after having the consultation and getting insurance approval before a surgery date is set - although this would obviously vary depending upon individual circumstances. I can definitely recommend Dr. Huber and his offices to anyone who is contemplating WLS. I will post more information regarding surgery, after care etc. post surgery."
